James Writes Hip Hop Fashion for Revolt TV

Two of James' biggest passions - Hip Hop and Fashion collided with his newest project for Revolt TV - a story about the two from the 90s. As you know, the 90s are having a huge renaissance in music and fashion right now. Everyone is obsessed. But since James spent his teen years in the 90s listening to Mary J. Blige (still his favorite), and Lil' Kim (who James says, taught him the game), and Missy Elliot, it was clear that he was the perfect person to write this story.

Revolt TV is just one of the big brands under Sean Combs Enterprises, the mega producer, artist, designer (and many more things) who also debuted in the 90s as an intern for Uptown Records. At that time, he was dating Misa Hylton - the fashion stylist and designer who was just 15. He would go on to found Bad Boy Records and make history on several different occassions. He's a visionary and so is Hylton whom James interviews for the project. All of your favorite music videos from the 90s were styled by Misa Hylton. With more than a few iconic moments, it came as no surprise that she also recently designed a custom MCM look for Beyonce for her Ape Shit music video. Check out the link below:

"Being able to write something for Sean Combs' brand is huge. An honor indeed," James says of the opportunity.
